Prep Academy Scientist

This high-profile position requires a college graduate with a career interest in innovative science education that will expand the current STEM model. Recent graduates or experienced school instructors must have a masters degree in chemistry preferably with a thesis focus on chemical education or applied analytical science. A masters degree in physics will be considered if the thesis focus is on educational photonics or applied optics. Experience or aptitude in analytical measurement instrumentation and calibration science is highly desirable.

This position includes fast-track leadership paths to facilitate the educational startup and realization of the Stranaska Prep Academy as an integral part of the Stranaska Analytical Metrology Initiative (SAMI). The vision of the Stranaska Prep Academy is to develop and champion analytical metrology in a creative manner so that it adds to the "S" in STEM education worldwide. The successful candidate will work closely with the Academy Executive Director to learn and gain expertise in analytical metrology for communication and educational instruction purposes. The Academy objective is to provide high school and college students with a unique scientific mentorship and learning environment to facilitate their awareness of analytical metrology for college and/or career path readiness. The position may involve some travel to local high schools and educational sites as well as the occasional need for instructing evening and/or weekend mentorship learning sessions.
