Position Overview
The Chapter Outreach Coordinator will communicate, support, and promote the mission of Children Beyond Our Borders, Inc. (CBOB) in the local community. This position works closely with local clubs, organizations, and community leaders to raise awareness of our local initiative, Children Within Our Borders (CWOB), and its mission.
The role includes organizing and attending monthly workshops, organizing and attending weekly tutoring events, and supporting volunteer recruitment, community engagement, and program logistics. UF interns will hold tutoring on Mondays during the school year from 6:00–7:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Organize and attend monthly workshops.
- Organize and attend weekly tutoring events.
- Hold weekly tutoring sessions (UF interns: Mondays, 6:00–7:30 PM).
- Work by a fixed schedule and deadlines.
- Develop and lead creative and educational workshops.
- Create and direct volunteer training for workshops and tutoring programs.
- Gather reliable and committed volunteers.
- Organize logistics for workshop events and weekly tutoring.
- Collect supplies for events and organize donation drives.
- Develop relationships with corporate sponsors, foundation sponsors, and individual supporters.
- Communicate results of events to improve their effectiveness.
- Support community outreach and promote the mission of CBOB/CWOB.

Must be located in Gainesville.
Workload
- Frequent and consistent communication with the Volunteer Director, volunteers, and organization leaders.
- Weekly meetings, volunteer sessions, and managing donation boxes.
- Coordinating between the student chapter, general student volunteers, and partner organizations supporting CWOB/CBOB.
