Business Operations Manager

The Role: The Operational & Financial Backbone We are looking for a high-functioning Business Operations Manager to serve as the foundational backbone of our company.  As an early-stage, fast-growing organization, we need an "architect-operator" to take full ownership of our fiscal and operational integrity.  You will be responsible for our daily operational consistency, financial stewardship, and the implementation of the foundational systems that define how we work together.  Start date is January 2026.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Financial Stewardship & Strategy: Take full ownership of rolling financial forecasts, budget oversight, monthly reporting (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet), and daily fiscal management.
  2. People & Team Coordination: Act as the primary internal liaison for personnel logistics (Payroll/PTO/Schedules), manage executive travel, and lead the build-out of our first benefits infrastructure and Employee Handbook.
  3. Process & Workflow Engineering: Evaluate and optimize multi-step business processes, generate requested documentation, and maintain a rigorous, "VC-ready" data room and filing system.
  4. General Administrative Assistance: Provide high-level strategic support to leadership, and serve as the operational buffer for day-to-day administrative tasks.

Who You Are

  • Education: MBA (strongly preferred) with a focus on Finance and Operations.
  • Strategic Filter: You take pride in managing administrative complexities so leadership can focus on high-level growth.
  • Quantitative Mastery: You are a master user/learner of platforms (Google Workspace, QuickBooks, Monday.com, etc.) and you don’t generate AI slop.
  • Independent Operator: You have a "figure it out" mentality and don't require a manager to build your daily to-do list.

You will be an integral part of the leadership engine, serving as the backbone that allows our mission to scale. As a foundational hire, your work will directly shape the company’s culture, operational standards, and long-term viability.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $80,000 – $105,000 (commensurate with market and experience).
  • Equity Stake: Stock grant available (vesting over 4 years with a 1-year cliff).
  • Location: New York City (remote/hybrid possible but less preferred)
