Bullpen Catcher Intern
Position Overview
Juice Pitching is seeking a motivated and reliable Bullpen Catcher Intern to support daily pitching operations, athlete development, and on-field training sessions. This role is ideal for a former catcher, current player, or baseball professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a modern pitching development environment.
The Bullpen Catcher Intern will work directly with pitchers, coaches, and performance staff, gaining exposure to professional training standards, throwing programs, bullpen management, and communication within a high-performance setting.
Responsibilities
Catch bullpens for pitchers of various ages and skill levels
Receive high-velocity throws and specialty pitches (sinker, sweeper, breaking balls, etc.)
Assist pitching coaches during training sessions and evaluations
Set quality targets and maintain consistent tempo during bullpens
Provide basic feedback to pitchers as directed by coaching staff
Assist with equipment setup, breakdown, and bullpen organization
Support game-like training environments and live at-bats
Maintain professionalism, focus, and safety standards at all times
Qualifications
Prior catching experience (high school, college, or higher preferred)
Ability to receive velocity comfortably and consistently
Strong baseball IQ and understanding of pitching fundamentals
Reliable, punctual, and coachable
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
Ability to communicate clearly with coaches and athletes
Preferred (Not Required)
College baseball experience
Interest in pitching development, coaching, or player development
Familiarity with modern pitching concepts (pitch design, sequencing, intent)
