Behavioral Health Therapist LSW/LPC

The Ranch of Opportunity is currently hiring for a Therapist (LSW or LPC) for our residential facility. The Ranch of Opportunity is located in Fayette County on a tranquil 22-acre ranch setting and offers a peaceful and healthy environment for teenage girls to live, learn, heal and grow in a residential setting. The unique nature of our Trauma Informed Care program offers the national best practice philosophy of care.

Our mission is to create new chances, new choices, and new hope for traumatized children and their families by breaking the vicious cycle of child abuse and addressing the self-destructive behaviors brought on by experiencing severe trauma in childhood. Our Therapist will be supported by a fantastic team that includes other Therapists and a Clinical Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides and documents accurate, comprehensive diagnostic assessment and prescribes initial interventions in accordance with established practices and standards.
  • Assists the adolescent and parent/guardian to establish specific, measurable treatment goals and objectives with specific interventions.
  • Provides individual and family counseling in an outpatient setting in accordance with the treatment plan.
  • Provides crisis intervention as needed. Completes documentation in accordance with established rules, regulations and standards.
  • Coordinates client care with other service providers as necessary.
  • Maintains productivity expectations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or a related field.
  • Preferred - Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or a related field..
  • Licensure Required: LSW, LPC, LISW or LPCC
  • Knowledge of and experience with mental health treatment (required) and substance abuse treatment (preferred), knowledge of and experience working with children with behavioral problems.
  • The position requires candidates to pass Safe Crisis Management (SCM) Training.
