Business Development (PhD, Biotech / Pharma)

We are currently helping a fast-growing, innovative biotech company in Shanghai that is actively looking for PhD graduates from top universities in America to join their team.

This role is not a traditional sales position. You will be closely mentored by the company’s VP of Business Development, working alongside an experienced BD team. The position is designed for scientifically trained PhDs who are interested in transitioning into international BD and strategic partnering within the biotech industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Support overseas business development activities for innovative antibody drug programs
Identify, screen, and engage potential international partners and pharmaceutical companies
Assist in project evaluation, due diligence, and BD strategy analysis
Participate in international meetings, partner communications, and business negotiations
Support end-to-end collaboration processes, including project research, documentation, and deal execution
Work closely with internal R&D, management, and BD leadership teams

Qualifications:
PhD in Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, or related fields
Overseas education experience in Europe or North America is highly preferred
Recent PhD graduates (Class of 2024–2025) or candidates with 1–2 years of work experience are strongly encouraged to apply
Basic understanding of international pharmaceutical BD processes is a plus
Strong interest in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry
Fluent in English (spoken and written); 
Strong communication skills, cross-cultural awareness, and learning ability
Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to grow with a fast-developing biotech company
