Auxiliary Program Coordinator

Kentucky Country Day School is currently hiring for an Auxiliary Program Coordinator. This is a full-time 12-month position.


 

The auxiliary program coordinator is charged with responsibility over and leading these areas:

Summer Stretch – Summer Camp Programming

Bearcat Den – Lower School After-School Programming

Middle School After-School Programming

Lower School Intramurals

Fine Arts Academy


 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


 

Areas of responsibility include the following:

Coordinate the Summer Stretch summer camp program 

Create a catalog and manage registrations while serving as an on-site leader during programs 

Includes hiring a summer part-time team

May include additional programming/opportunities offered during holiday breaks, etc. 

Coordinate the Bearcat Den after-school care for Lower School students

Requires hiring and managing the adults and students working between 3:00-6:00 pm 

Manage communications, registration, and billing 

Coordinate after-school programming for Middle School 

Requires hiring and managing the adults and students working between 3:00-6:00 pm

Manage communications, registration, and billing 

Coordinate Lower School intramurals

Work closely with the Athletic Director and the LS Director 

Manage communications, registration, and billing 

Manage the Fine Arts Academy registration, billing, and payroll 

Scheduling and communications are done by the fine arts department chair 


 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.

Previous administrative, leadership, or teaching experience.

Must demonstrate qualities of approachability, flexibility, and patience.

Must be well organized and an effective communicator.

Experience using Google Suite. 

Commitment to continual development of one’s cultural competence.


 

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Must be able to lift 40lbs.

Ability to oversee and ensure the safety of children in and out of the classroom, including escorting them over the large campus.

Ability to be physically present in the classroom / Bearcat Den.

Ability to work in a wide variety of environments, as found in all areas of the school.

Ability to move around the campus quickly, as needed.
