Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse Float

Registered Nurse/LPN Full-Time

Position Summary:

This position role is a multi-skilled healthcare professional that provides professional and quality care by following established standards and practices. This role will be an integral part of a care team dedicated to serving our communities families and children.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Obtains and documents health history, information on chief complaint, takes vital signs, and accurately convey information to the provider.
  • Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
  • Administers injections and/or treatments that have been advised by the provider.
  • Documents patient data using established medical record forms and accurately documents patient data in the electronic medical record.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
  • Maintains and reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information.
  • Responds to incoming patient treatment-related phone calls.
  • Ensure patient rooms are stocked, cleaned, orderly, and equipment is functioning properly.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Position Requirements:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be resourceful and maintain professionalism in stressful environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of pediatric vaccine schedule and the SC VFC program.

Licensing/Certification:

  • Active South Carolina RN/LPN License
  • Will consider Certified MA
  • Preferred 2 years' experience with pediatric point of care testing preferred.

Education: Post High School education from an accredited school of Nursing Require.

Experience:

 

  • Pediatrics: 1 year (Preferred)

 

License/Certification:

 

  • RN or LPN License (Required)
