The Role:
We are encouraging applications for an Aerospace Engineer II to join our team! The Aerospace Engineer II will perform various analyses spanning the Space Situational Awareness (SSA) domain, including: orbit determination, collision avoidance and maneuver planning. The engineer will design, develop, and test mathematically intensive software applications proprietary to SpaceNav. This position will perform astrodynamics research and develop simulations for SSA-related topics including state estimation, stochastic processes, error propagation, and collision probability analysis. This role will provide operational maneuver planning and mission operation support to NASA, NOAA, and USGS, as well as technical support to the internal SpaceNav team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or related field.
- Two to four years of related experience.
- Experience with MATLAB development and utilization.

- Strong background in mathematics and engineering.

Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience performing orbit determination using GPS data is highly desirable.
- Java and MySQL programming experience.
