Intern - Marketing
PURPOSE
The primary responsibilities of the Marketing Intern shall be to help execute the marketing strategy. At its core, the role involves project coordination and marketing communication. They will perform and be responsible for tasks including, but not limited to upkeep of marketing materials, social media management, and assistance with digital and video strategy, performs related work as required and will support and report to the Marketing team. The Intern will have a proactive approach to getting the job done and a can-do attitude.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position requirements and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Support the company’s efforts in projecting quality, consistency, and innovation through all marketing activities across the company
- Assist with day-to-day marketing tasks and coordinating marketing projects and activities
- Support logistics for trade show presentations to include procurement and readiness of all marketing materials such as promotional items and printed marketing collateral
- Participate in coordination of corporate events
- Coordinate writing promotional materials, for distribution both inside and outside the organization. Work from concepts and specific details about topic
- Update Company Contacts and project database
- Coordinate with updates for marketing collateral including boilerplate, resumes, project sheets/case studies etc. Maintain brand consistency and identity.
- Assist writing copy for advertising messages/campaigns, tag lines, website social media, collateral/product information bulletins and PPT presentations, and checks for spelling and grammar errors, while remaining consistent in style/tone for all services
- Review and edit materials for timely submissions
- Assist Marketing Manager with social media management including the curation of content to increase online engagement
- Produce clear and concise written correspondence in the form of letters and emails
- Assist with various project market research efforts
- Organize and keep all print materials ready by coordinating printing
- Coordinate with marketing team to brainstorm strategies and finalize marketing plans
- Provide a variety of support to the marketing team
- Assist company committees appointed to the marketing team as assigned
- Work under general supervision with some creativity and latitude expected
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Working towards a degree in marketing OR equivalent experience
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- May have occasional visits to a job site which would require periods of standing, walking and/or climbing stairs
EQUIPMENT/TOOLS
- Computer systems, hardware and software.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Adobe, InDesign, multiple graphics programs
