Part-Time Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Instructor – In-Person | Sun Valley, CA

Learn2Code.Live is seeking enthusiastic, high-energy instructors to lead hands-on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) classes for K–12 students in Sun Valley, CA (8926 Sunland Blvd). This is an in-person, after-school role with a fully provided curriculum—no lesson planning required.

This position is ideal for students, recent graduates, educators, or professionals passionate about helping children develop empathy, self-awareness, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver interactive SEL lessons for K–12 students using the provided curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Guide students in developing self-awareness, empathy, and healthy social skills
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning styles and age groups
  • Communicate professionally with students, parents, and the Learn2Code.Live team
  • Offer insights to support curriculum improvement and instructional strategies

 

Qualifications

  • Background or interest in Psychology, Education, Child Development, or related fields
  • Comfortable teaching students across elementary, middle, and high school
  • Strong communication, empathy, and classroom management skills
  • Patient, flexible, and enthusiastic about supporting social-emotional growth
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to teach in-person in Sun Valley, CA

 

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience
  • Experience in after-school programs or youth education
