What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for reliable, organized, communicative, and motivated students who want to help bring Perplexity and Comet to their campus in a meaningful way.

This role will be centered around on-the-ground execution. You should be comfortable running campus events, talking to peers, and taking ownership of recurring activations.

If you’ve run tabling events, led a student organization, or helped coordinate campus logistics before, this role is a great fit.
 

The Comet Campus Activation Program

Comet Activators work directly with Perplexity’s Student Growth team and are responsible for running recurring on-campus activation events at their university throughout the semester.

The goal of the program is to:

  • Drive desktop Comet installs
  • Educate students on how to use Comet and Perplexity effectively
  • Establish a strong, visible Perplexity presence on campus

This is a paid, execution-focused role with clear expectations and accountability.


Responsibilities

  • Host a minimum of 2 on-campus tabling or pop-up events per month at high-traffic campus locations
  • Coordinate or secure required permits, approvals, or table reservations
  • Coordinate receiving, picking up, and transporting incentives needed for each on-campus activation
  • Set up and run the activation booth following Perplexity guidelines
  • Walk students through a short demo of Perplexity and Comet
  • Ensure installs are completed on desktop
  • Require Comet to be added to the home screen and set as the default browser (where applicable)
  • Track event details (date, location, duration, estimated installs)
  • Communicate issues or blockers to the Student Growth team quickly

This role requires consistent, recurring execution, not one-off events.


Qualifications

  • Must be a current student at a U.S. university
  • Familiar with campus logistics and student traffic patterns
  • Comfortable approaching peers and explaining products
  • Extremely organized, communicative, and dependable
  • Access to reliable transportation to pick up and transport event incentives for on-campus activations is a plus
  • Prior experience with tabling, campus events, or student org leadership is a plus
  • Interest in AI tools and productivity software is a bonus
     

Time Commitment

  • 2+ events per month
  • Minimum of 8 hours/week
  • Each event lasts a full day (9AM-5PM) or until supplies run out
  • Availability throughout the semester is required
