Human Resources Intern

Title: Human Resources & Operations Intern

Location: Franklin, OH (312 S. River St.) - Hybrid Potential after training

Compensation:$15.00/hour

Schedule: Part-time, 15-20 hours/week (Flexible around class schedules)

About Us

Franklin Dental Care & Dentures is a high-volume dental practice dedicated to providing essential oral healthcare to our community. As the only Medicaid provider within a 30-mile radius, we play a vital role in Franklin nd the surrounding areas. We are currently in a growth phase, expanding our team of dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff to better serve our patients.

The role

We are seeking a motivated student (High School Senior or College Level) interested in Human Resources and Business Operations. This is not just a "paper-pushing" internship; you will be on the front lines of our growth. You will help streamline our hiring pipeline, manage candidate communications, and represent our practice in the community.

This role begins as an on-site position to ensure proper training and integration with the team. As you become fluent in our processes and consistently meet KPIs, the opportunity for remote work will become available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage job postings on Indeed, Handshake, and LinkedIn. Screen resumes for various roles, including front desk, billing, and dental assistants.
  • Contact school counselors and career centers to build relationships. Identify and attend local career fairs and networking events.
  • Conduct initial phone screenings and coordinate interview schedules for the leadership team.
  • Maintain accurate applicant records and assist in refining HR documentation to support our office expansion.
  • Work closely with the HR team to identify repetitive tasks that can be streamlined or automated.

Qualificaitons

  • Currently enrolled in High School or a University program (Business, HR, or Communications focus preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on assigned projects.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A professional demeanor suitable for a healthcare environment.
