What You’ll Work On

At NeuroHire, Data Scientists sit close to the product and the users.

Analyze hiring, resume, and job data to uncover patterns that improve matching and recommendations

Build and evaluate models that support candidate ranking, skill inference, and job fit scoring

Design experiments and metrics to measure product impact (quality, fairness, recruiter success)

Work with large, imperfect datasets — resumes, job descriptions, recruiter actions, outcomes

Partner with AI Engineers to translate insights into production models and features

Define and track core metrics for model performance and hiring quality

Identify bias, edge cases, and failure modes in data and models

Turn analysis into clear recommendations for product and leadership

Create lightweight dashboards or reports that actually drive decisions

What We’re Looking For

We value curiosity and ownership over fancy titles.

2+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist or in an applied data role

Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and data analysis

Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) and SQL

Experience working with real-world, noisy datasets

Comfortable explaining insights to non-technical stakeholders

Experience evaluating models using meaningful business metrics, not just accuracy

Ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment
