Video Editor

 

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor to transform raw footage and long-form video into compelling, high-impact short-form content. This role plays a critical part in amplifying our brand, storytelling, and digital presence across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for pacing, emotion, and narrative, and understands how to create content that captures attention and drives engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit raw footage and long-form video into polished short-form content for platforms such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other social and digital channels.
  • Identify and cut high-impact “micro moments” from longer videos that highlight emotion, insight, or energy while aligning with brand messaging.
  • Produce full-length edits and short-form clips in support of marketing initiatives, including content for the book, the movement, and broader brand campaigns.
  • Create cinematic teasers, hype reels, and promotional videos designed to build anticipation and audience connection.
  • Craft story-driven edits that balance pacing, music, sound design, and visuals to create an engaging narrative.
  • Collaborate with marketing, creative, and leadership teams to understand content goals, audience, and platform-specific requirements.
  • Apply basic motion graphics, captions, transitions, and visual effects as needed to enhance clarity and engagement.
  • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, tone, and visual standards.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stay current on short-form video trends, platform algorithms, and best practices to continuously improve performance.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a video editor or content creator, with a strong portfolio of short-form and long-form video work.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar tools.
  • Strong storytelling skills and the ability to translate raw footage into emotionally compelling content.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and how editing styles differ across YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.

 

Preferred

Experience creating cinematic or documentary-style edits.

Familiarity with captioning, sound design, and basic color correction.

Experience working with branded or purpose-driven content.
