About the Internship
We are seeking Business Development Interns to support outreach efforts related to grant and funding opportunities available to schools, libraries, and community organizations.
This is not a traditional sales role. Interns will focus on educational outreach and appointment setting, helping organizations connect with our internal team to learn how grant programs work and how they may qualify for funding and support.
This internship is structured to prioritize learning, mentorship, and exposure to grant-funded programs rather than revenue generation.
What You’ll Do
Conduct outbound phone outreach to schools, libraries, and eligible organizations
Introduce grant and funding opportunities in clear, simple terms
Identify interest and basic eligibility
Schedule informational calls or meetings for senior team members
Maintain accurate call notes and appointment records
Represent the organization professionally and respectfully

Ideal Candidate
Currently enrolled student or recent graduate
Comfortable speaking on the phone
Strong communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Interest in public funding, education, nonprofits, or business development
Able to commit 20 hours per week for the full internship term

Must reside in Hawaii
Fully remote role
