Retail Store Manager

We are Quartermaine Coffee Roasters, a local coffee roaster, and are looking for an upbeat, energetic leader to manage our flagship retail store in Bethesda, MD. As the successful candidate, you will have a minimum of 3+ years of fast casual or retail management experience. You will foster a high level of friendly and attentive customer service and be dedicated to proudly providing fresh, handcrafted products to our community. You will enjoy working with people and be passionate about coffee. You will be available to work weekends, opening shifts and possibly some holidays. You will enjoy being a hands-on manager.
Summary of Job Responsibilities:
- Provide the leadership, direction, and communication necessary to achieve retail budgets and operating plan goals.
- Profitably operate the store in keeping with Quartermaine’s core values.
- Ensure an exceptional level of personalized customer service through hiring, training, and coaching of all staff.
- Demonstrate honest and sound financial and retail management practices.
- Maintain a positive and productive work and shopping environment within the store.
- Ensure consistently excellent product quality in coffee beans, tea, bar beverages, and pastries.
- Conduct ordering and maintain inventory levels.
- Maintain and troubleshoot all equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness of store interior and exterior.
- Educate customers about our menu, make recommendations based on customer preferences, upselling special items and taking orders.
