Occupational Therapist – First Year Opportunities
(Inpatient & Outpatient Settings)

Location:

Albany, Troy, Schenectady, NY at St. Peter’s Health Partners facilities.  This includes Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital – a nationally recognized rehab leader.

About the Role:

St. Peter’s Health Partners is seeking motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapists to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. These positions are ideal for recent graduates looking to launch their careers in a supportive, collaborative environment. You’ll have the opportunity to work in inpatient and outpatient settings, including Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, renowned for excellence in patient care and innovation.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver patient-centered occupational therapy services to individuals recovering from illness, injury, or surgery.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve functional independence and quality of life.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and physicians.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, adaptive techniques, and home programs.
• Document care in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Minimum Requirements: 

Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy program with a Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree 

Current NYS OT license and registration 

Flexibility and exceptional clinical reasoning skills are essential as well as an ability to work well under pressure with frequent interruptions and deadlines. 

Must have time management, communication, and superb customer service skills

Pay Range: $35.85 - $45.50  

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

• Samaritan Hospital (Troy)
• Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital (nationally recognized, Schenectady)
• Multiple outpatient clinics throughout the Capital District of New York.
