The AAPC Foundation Summer Internship Program offers students a full-time, paid, nine-week applied learning experience with a designated AAPC member firm. Interns gain practical skills, professional networks, and insight into how campaigns, data, and technology shape civic engagement—preparing them to become the next generation of leaders in the field.
EVUS is a data and engagement company that helps candidates, elected officials, municipalities, nonprofits, unions, and advocacy organizations reach people and motivate action. EVUS works across the full lifecycle of engagement, including voter and demographic analytics; targeted outreach through texting, email, phone, and digital advertising; and hands-on guidance that helps clients communicate effectively with their communities. Clients range from first-time local candidates to major city agencies and national advocacy groups, all seeking accurate data, smart strategy, and a trusted partner who knows how to move people.
EVUS focuses on making complex information usable so leaders can make better decisions and connect with the public in meaningful ways. Interns gain exposure to real campaign work, real data, and real problem-solving, building practical skills in voter data interpretation, targeted outreach, and political communication.
Responsibilities include:
- Support EVUS teams on primary and post-primary campaigns
- Contribute to active client projects, including research, voter data review, and analytics preparation
- Assist staff in delivering engagement services to campaigns and community leaders
This position is ideal for candidates who:
- Have a working knowledge of Excel and a basic understanding of data-driven tools
- Demonstrate interest in political consulting, including marketing, client engagement, or operations
- Are eager to learn, take initiative, and bring strong attention to detail
