The Opportunity

We’re hiring our first full-time Account Executive to grow our partnerships across California’s CTE (Career Technical Education) ecosystem.

This role is ideal for a recent college graduate who is excited to build a career in consultative, relationship-driven sales—working closely with schools to understand their goals and helping them implement programs that truly serve students.

You won’t be pushing a one-size-fits-all product. You’ll be partnering with educators, administrators, and district leaders to design solutions that fit their communities—and building trust that leads to multi-year relationships.

 

What You’ll Do

Build meaningful school partnerships

  • Develop trusted relationships with CTE coordinators, principals, counselors, and district administrators
  • Research and understand each partner’s goals, constraints, and student needs—and tailor Skillify’s programs accordingly
  • Attend conferences, school visits, and district meetings as a collaborative thought partner
  • Serve as a consistent, reliable point of contact before and after programs launch

Build strong systems to support relationships

  • Track partner goals, timelines, and communications in our CRM
  • Use outreach tools and AI to stay organized, responsive, and proactive

Guide partners through the buying process

  • Educate schools on what’s possible, what works, and how Skillify fits into their existing initiatives
  • Support partners through budgeting, approvals, and implementation planning

Own partnership growth

  • Manage accounts from initial conversations through renewal and expansion
  • Identify opportunities to deepen partnerships over time (additional schools, pathways, or programs)

 

What Success Looks Like

First 30 days

  • Learn the industry and become an expert in our product offerings 
  • Master our outreach systems and develop your voice
  • Establish relationships with your first partners

First 90 days

  • Close your first partnership and support a smooth program launch
  • Develop a strong list of potential partnerships

Long-term

  • Become a go-to partner across districts
  • Help define how Skillify builds and scales long-term partnerships statewide

Must-Haves

  • Exposure to sales roles
  • Comfort initiating conversations and following up consistently
  • Organized, systems-oriented, curious, and reliable
  • Willing to travel 40–50% for conferences and partner visits
  • Based in or open to relocating to Las Vegas
  • Interest in education, workforce development, or social impact

 

Nice-to-Haves

  • Familiarity with K–12 or higher education environments

 

Not a Fit If…

  • You prefer purely transactional sales environments
  • You’re uncomfortable with outreach or cold-calling
  • You want a highly scripted role with minimal ownership
  • You are not curious and do not enjoy learning
