Scare Actors and Event Staff

We are currently seeking energetic individuals to join our Zombie on a Chain immersive experience. We are looking for talented performers and staff who bring a blend of theatrical flair and professional excellence to the team.

Getout Games SLC has been a leader in family-friendly entertainment for six years. We are looking for high-energy, charismatic Game Masters to facilitate world-class immersive experiences. The Role: The "MVP" of the Experience

As a Game Master, you are the face of the adventure. You are responsible for:

  • Immersive Storytelling: Setting the stage, explaining missions, and establishing rules to build excitement.
  • Mission Control: Monitoring groups via high-tech security feeds to ensure safety and provide strategic hints.
  • Customer Excellence: Ensuring every group, large or small, has a thrilling and memorable visit.
  • Operational Precision: Efficiently resetting game rooms to maintain our high standards of quality and readiness.

Availability & Scheduling

We are currently seeking staff for the following shifts:

  • Mon–Fri: Opening (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM) | Closing (5:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
  • Saturday: Opening (11:00 AM – 5:00 PM) | Closing (5:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
  • Sundays: Closed

Note on Flexibility: Our facility operates on a demand-based "on-call" system. Shift hours are confirmed at least one hour in advance based on customer bookings. While hours are not guaranteed, our Game Masters typically average 10–25 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Physical Performance: Execute high-intensity scares, including crawling, sprinting, and lunging, while maintaining character.
  • Atmospheric Character Work: Utilize vocalizations (growling, screaming) and non-verbal cues to build a frightening and immersive atmosphere.
  • Prop Handling: Safely and effectively perform while restrained by a 15lb wrist chain, ensuring the prop is used for dramatic effect without compromising safety.
  • Guest Interaction: Manage "the chase" with guests in a way that is thrilling and fast-paced while strictly adhering to safety boundaries.
  • Operational Compliance: Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and emergency protocols to ensure a secure environment for both staff and patrons.

Qualifications

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform repetitive physical movements (crawling, chasing) for extended shifts.
  • Strength: Ability to carry and maneuver with a 15lb weighted prop throughout the performance.
  • Professionalism: A commitment to arriving on time, following directorial cues, and maintaining a positive attitude in a high-stress environment.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Understanding the balance between "scaring" a guest and ensuring they have a safe, enjoyable experience.
  • Adaptability: Capability to thrive in a loud, fast-paced, and low-light setting.
