Now Hiring: ELA Tutor (College Students Only)

Position: ELA Tutor
Location: Van Siclen Community Middle School
Schedule: Tuesdays & Fridays
Pay Rate: $20–$23 per hour
Position Type: Part-Time, In-Person

Tomorrow Leaders NYC is seeking a dedicated ELA Tutor to support middle school students at Van Siclen Community Middle School. This opportunity is ideal for college students pursuing degrees in English, ELA, Education, Literature, or related fields who are passionate about literacy and student success.

Responsibilities:

Provide small-group and one-on-one ELA tutoring

Support students with reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary

Assist with homework and skill-building aligned to the school curriculum

Create an engaging, supportive learning environment

Collaborate with program staff as needed

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled college student

Major in English, ELA, Education, or a related field (required)

Strong reading and writing skills

Experience working with middle school students preferred but not required

Reliable, patient, and committed to student success
