Jewelry CAD Designer

VVS MGT is a high-end custom jewelry brand built on wholesale manufacturing roots and Diamond District–level craftsmanship. We specialize in premium custom pieces, pavé-heavy designs, and one-of-one projects where quality, precision, and design intention matter.

We are looking for a jewelry CAD designer who can collaborate creatively while delivering production-ready files suitable for casting and setting at a high standard.

The Role

This role sits at the intersection of design and execution. You will work closely with the founders to translate creative direction into sketches and CAD models that are accurate, manufacturable, and refined.

This is not a junior or entry-level CAD role. Candidates must already understand jewelry-specific CAD workflows and production constraints.

Key Responsibilities

Create production-ready jewelry CAD for custom pendants, rings, and statement pieces

Sketch initial design concepts (hand or digital) before CAD when appropriate

Design with casting, setting, polishing, and wearability in mind

Execute pavé and micro-pavé layouts with correct spacing, prong logic, and tolerances

Optimize designs for structural integrity and material efficiency

Collaborate on design direction and contribute creative input when developing concepts

Prepare files for manufacturing and revisions as needed

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

Proven experience with jewelry-specific CAD (Rhino + Matrix, RhinoGold, or JewelCAD)

Prior experience producing CAD files that have been successfully cast and set

Strong understanding of:

Wall thickness after polish

Pavé spacing and prong structure

Casting shrinkage and manufacturing tolerances

Ability to sketch design ideas clearly (hand or digital)

Jewelry-focused portfolio required

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with pavé-heavy or iced pieces

Familiarity with luxury or high-value custom jewelry workflows

Ability to collaborate creatively and iterate on concepts

Comfort working in a fast-moving custom environment

Important Notes

This role requires existing jewelry CAD knowledge — training from scratch is not available

All designs created are the exclusive intellectual property of Diamondaire Customs

NDA required

A paid CAD and/or sketch test may be part of the selection process
