Part-Time Student - Manufacturing Engineering - Fargo, ND
As a Part-Time Student- Manufacturing Engineering for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group located in Fargo, North Dakota you will:
- Identify and implement cost reductions, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope
- Update line layouts in CAD
- Develop and support Factory Automation programs to control assembly fixtures
- Develop and support vision systems
- Work with electronic tools to perform engineering functions
- Develop plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing
This position is not available to students on immigration visas
What Skills You Need
- Understanding of various functions of manufacturing
- Good interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited university/college
- Graduation date of Spring 2027 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- Available to work 12-20 hours/weekly during the academic year
- Available to work 30-40 hours/weekly during the summer semester
- Must be able to commute to the designated work location in Fargo, ND, on a weekly, daily, as-needed basis year-round (NOTE: Relocation assistance is not provided)
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Automation Engineering; others may apply
What Makes You Stand Out

$15 - $40 hourly based on published rates for business function and education level.
