General Job Description:
This is work of a training nature, developing knowledge and skills in park management. Assignments are limited but of increasing scope and difficulty as an incumbent receives formal training and on the job experience in such park operations as administration, horticulture, arboriculture, grounds maintenance, and recreation. As experience is attained, an incumbent becomes eligible for promotion to the next level of park manager. Work is performed under the supervision of an administrative superior.
EDUCATION:
Completion of a bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university with major coursework in park administration, horticulture, forestry, or landscape architecture.
OR
Completion of a bachelor's degree program, including coursework determined by the Personnel Department to be equivalent to the specified coursework.
