Human Resources Assistant
JOB SUMMARY
Assists the Human Resources Department in carrying out various Human Resources programs, procedures and
responsibilities for all company employees.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database as needed
• Order and maintain supplies for office personnel
• Maintains employee records, reports and logs pertaining to applicant flow procedures
• Assists in recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel (excluding managerial levels and above);
helps coordinated the use of temporary employees, schedule interviews, etc.
• Prepare new hire orientation materials and packets; conducts new employee orientations; conduct reference
checks; set-up and maintain employee files
• Assist with entry level interviews
Update system with missing punches
Create new hire folders and file employee information in personnel files
• Participates in benefits administration
• Assists in monitoring the attendance policy and keep track of associate points
• Administrative support to all areas of HR Department
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED.
Previous HR experience preferred.
Degree in HR preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Prior knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources
• Prior experience with an HRIS database
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
• Excellent Computer skills and proficiency in the following: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Outlook
