Social Media Intern

About the Organization

We are changemakers funding the future of maternity care – advancing the AABC midwifery-led birth center model of care to ensure safe, respectful, and inclusive care is accessible for all people, everywhere. 

We are seeking a Social Media Intern interested in nonprofit communications, public health, or reproductive justice to help us reach new populations and extend our followers within the communities we serve. 

What You’ll Do

  • Draft and schedule social media content (Instagram & Facebook)
  • Assist with content calendars and campaigns
  • Create simple graphics using Canva
  • Write inclusive, mission-aligned captions
  • Support storytelling and basic engagement tracking

What You’ll Learn

  • Nonprofit social media strategy
  • Ethical storytelling and values-based messaging
  • How communications support fundraising and advocacy
  • Real-world nonprofit experience with mentorship

Who Should Apply

  • Students or early-career professionals
  • Interest in social media, writing, or visual storytelling
  • Reliable, curious, and open to feedback
  • No prior professional experience required
