Bioinformatics Intern

A fast-paced, profiting, and expanding genetic diagnositc lab in central New Jersey is seeking a bioinformatics intern

About the Role
Juno Genetics is seeking a Bioinformatics Intern to support ongoing data analysis and software development projects. This is a position designed for new graduates seeking an exposure and a career in data analysis and software development in a clinical setting. The intern will work under the supervision of senior informatics staff.

Responsibilities
- Assist in clinical and research data management, analysis, report, and documentation.
- Support senior team members in data and software projects.
- Help with maintenance and development of our in-house Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), including bug fixes, addition of new functionalities, and code migration.
- Participate in team meetings and project discussions to build domain knowledge.

Requirements
- Must be able to work full time on site starting in May 2026 or earlier
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in bioinformatics, data science, computer science, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated interest in biology and working in a clinical diagnostic lab
- Extensive experience in Python and R
- Experience working under different operating systems, especially Linux
- Willingness and ability to adapt to changing needs and learn new things in a fast-paced work environment
- Candidates need to have US citizenship or permanent residency
