Full Stack Software Engineer Intern

Location: Tampa, FL

Duration: 6 Months

Compensation: $18-21/hr (Commensurate with experience)

 

FaceTracer is a high-performance facial recognition search platform. We leverage modern web technologies to help users identify and search faces across the web through an intuitive, secure, and real-time interface. FaceTracer is at the intersection of privacy, security, and cutting-edge search technology.

The Role

As a Full Stack Engineering Intern, you won't just be "observing." You will be an integral part of our agile team, shipping production-ready code that impacts our global user base. This is a fast-paced role designed for a developer who is passionate about the Next.js ecosystem and eager to master the modern web stack.

What You’ll Work On

Feature Development: Build and maintain scalable features

Full Stack Integration: Write type-safe code across the stack using TypeScript and Drizzle ORM.

Payment Systems: Help manage and implement complex payment flows

Data Management: Architect and optimize queries for PostgreSQL

Security: Implement and refine secure authentication flows

Education: Currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Core Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Python and React.

Data: Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.

Mindset: A "builder" mentality—you are eager to learn, take ownership, and ship code frequently.

Communication: Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly

Nice to Have

Experience with Next.js (App Router) or similar modern frameworks.

Familiarity with financial tech or payment gateway integrations.

Knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth, Session management).

Active GitHub profile or a portfolio of personal projects.
