Program Coordinators are responsible for coordinating and overseeing all ACES program operations. They ensure the effective implementation of high-quality ACES programming, including supervising up to 5 part-time Academic Coaches. ACES’s model operates in classroom settings of 10-15 students, before- or after-school for up to five days per week. Program Coordinators are ACES model experts and are expected to step into classrooms, whether teaching a class or providing instructional or behavioral support. They model the ACES culture at their site and lead daily staff meetings as they supervise and provide feedback to Academic Coaches. As supervisors, they become their Academic Coaches’ biggest advocates for growth and coach their supervisees toward ongoing programmatic and personal success. Program Coordinators are detail-oriented, embodying ACES’ evaluation philosophy and data-driven approach. Alongside the Program Managers, they set and work toward ACES’s student recruitment and retention goals by ensuring student engagement in program activities. They manage their site’s data on the ACES database and ensure timely completion of student data and metrics. Additionally, they develop strong relationships with partner site staff, students, Academic Coaches, and students’ families, acting as ACES representatives and communicating with site staff and faculty for smooth operations. With the Program Managers, they create and implement family communication and engagement plans, fostering relationships that support the whole student experience and growth.
