POSITION SUMMARY
The Process Engineering Intern (Compounding) position is meant to provide a rising Junior or rising Senior Engineering student an opportunity to gain exposure and experience within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be able to work as an integrated member of the Compounding Operations Department leadership team, focused on high-visibility and high-impact projects to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Department.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams; working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel especially); ability to learn quickly and on-the-job
- Train with subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand the end-to-end manufacturing process, with focus on the Compounding side of the operation.
- Solve problems in the mass manufacturing process to improve efficiency, compliance, safety and other critical metrics.
- Learn about the critical basics of working in the manufacturing industry (Safety protocols, Quality standards, Performance metrics and more).
- Collaborate with manager and extended team to form an action plan for the deliverables through the work term.
- Present progress at the end of the assignment to key stakeholders.
