Title: Business & Community Engagement Intern (Paid)
Term: Jan 6 – Apr 30, 2026 • 15–20 hrs/week • Flexible M–F
Pay: $20-25/hour (non-exempt)

About the Internship
Explore the business side of insurance through hands-on work that blends operations, marketing, leadership, and community engagement. You’ll build transferable skills while shadowing regional leadership and contributing to visible projects.
You’ll learn the foundations of:
- Risk management and client service
- Financial fundamentals & performance metrics
- Insurance operations and workflows
- Leadership & organizational strategy
- Legal & regulatory basics
- Marketing, sales enablement, and brand voice
Who You Are
- Junior/senior or grad student in business, communications, marketing, finance, or related field
- Clear communicator, organized, proactive, and curious
- Comfortable working independently and in a small team
- Interested in entrepreneurship, leadership, and community impact
Nice-to-Haves (not required)
- Canva, Excel/Google Sheets, or basic data skills
- Event coordination or campus leadership experience
- Valid driver’s license/reliable transportation for occasional local events
What You’ll Do
- Design, schedule, and track social media content and engagement
- Assist with community events (set-up, check-in, logistics, vendor/partner outreach)
- Shadow regional executive leadership and department heads
- Observe and assist with marketing, sales, claims, recruiting, and HR projects
- Help maintain simple dashboards and reports (Excel/Google Sheets)
- Tackle day-to-day office/admin tasks to keep operations moving
Program Details
- Schedule: 15–20 hours/week, flexible Monday–Friday (some optional local events)
- Compensation: $20-25/hour
- Equipment: Laptop provided on-site
- Training: Onboarding + weekly touchpoints + shadow blocks with leadership
- No insurance license required (we’ll teach you the landscape)
What You’ll Leave With
- A concrete portfolio of deliverables (social posts, reports, event roll-ups)
- Recommendation letter upon successful completion of internship
