Environmental Health & Safety Intern

POSITION SUMMARY

The EHS intern will be responsible for assisting the EHS department with a variety of projects and initiatives to support the EHS strategy, ensure compliance, and advance the overall environmental and safety efforts. They will assist in completion of EHS inspections, provide events and communications support as needed. As well as attend applicable trainings and meetings. During the internship, they will be entering operational areas: production, compounding, warehouse, and QA labs. Each of the areas will have different PPE and GMP gowning requirements which is covered during New Hire Orientation Training.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Students will demonstrate an advanced EH&S knowledge base beyond their course of study.

 2. Students will demonstrate knowledge outside the domain of EH&S including Management, Leadership and Communication skills

 3. Students will gain practical real-world experience working in an industrial, manufacturing environment.

 4. Students will be able to describe the goals of their internship project and explain its significance in a global societal context.

 5. Students will demonstrate that they can work effectively independently or within a group. 

6. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the procedures, protocols and facility policies during internship. 

7. Students will demonstrate a proficiency in data analysis, presentation of data and the communication of results
