Summer 2026 - Corporate Affairs & Communications Intern

Ipsen is a leading global biopharmaceutical company committed to improving lives through innovative medicines in Oncology, Rare Disease, and Neuroscience. As part of our mission, we are seeking motivated undergraduate students to join our summer internship program at our Cambridge, MA office. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, purpose-driven organization that values collaboration, innovation, and impact. 

The Corporate Affairs Summer Intern will be immersed in a 3-month experience designed to provide meaningful exposure to Ipsen’s business operations and strategic initiatives. Interns will contribute to projects that enhance Ipsen’s corporate reputation, stakeholder engagement, and internal communications. This role is ideal for individuals interested in the intersection of healthcare, communications, and public affairs, offering a chance to develop professional skills and gain insight into the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. 

We will not consider graduate students or undergraduate students graduating before December 2026. We are also not providing housing support so students will need to provide their own housing over the course of the 11-week program.  

 

Main Responsibilities & Job Expectations

  • Learn the structure and function of a Corporate Affairs team, including Internal and External Brand, Digital, Community, Portfolio Communications and Patient Advocacy Relations 
  • Develop an understanding of key communication channels including social media and digital, earned media, thought leadership and paid media strategies and their applicable use in a biopharmaceutical company 
  • Projects during the internship may include digital content development, media research and monitoring, development of earned media plans, influencer and social media auditing, internal event coordination and planning, measurement and more 
  • Support and learn appropriate content review processes for internal and external materials 

 

Knowledge & Experience 

  • Rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or related discipline 
  • Demonstrated interest in healthcare, science or biopharma a plus 
  • 3.0 GPA is a minimum requirement   
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis
  • Strong verbal, writing, and editing skills with attention to detail 
  • Highly organized, accountable, and adaptable 
  • Fluency in English is required 
  • Ideal candidates can communicate effectively, learn quickly, takes ownership of their work to deliver results, and is a true collaborator  
  • Able to work in a hybrid structure including 3 days per week from our Cambridge, MA office 

 

The hourly pay rate for this internship is $30 per hour
