Public Equities Intern (Summer 2026)

Position Summary

With a long-term investment horizon and a commitment to prudent fiduciary management our investment team oversees a diversified portfolio across internally managed and external strategies.

We are seeking a motivated, analytical and intellectual curious summer investment intern to support our investment staff. The intern will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects that may include evaluating investment opportunities, performing research on external strategies, contributing to portfolio management processes, trade execution and trading cost analysis. This internship provides hand-on experience within a professional institution investment environment at a top ten US public pension plan.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must be enrolled in a full-time bachelor's or master's degree program in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Business, Data Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field; with at least one semester left to complete all degree requirements after the internship.

  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel

  • Interest in institutional investing

  • High degree of integrity and commitment to fiduciary responsibility

Work Modality

Currently we have a hybrid work schedule which may be subject to change in the future.

Job Duties

The duties of the Public Equities Intern include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist with research, including sector analyses, manager reviews and industry trends across public markets
  • Support portfolio monitoring, including performance measurement, risk analytics and reporting
  • Help prepare materials for internal meetings, investment committee discussions, board meetings and due diligence sessions
  • Assist in trade execution processes, transaction cost analysis and broker selections
  • Participate in meetings with external investment managers
  • Contribute to special projects, such as operational initiatives, asset allocation, etc.
