Software Engineer
Monark Markets is a B2B2C, API forward infrastructure platform that enables traditional brokerage platforms and clearing firms to offer their clients and investors access to alternative assets, directly from their existing brokerage accounts alongside other investable products like public stocks, bonds, and options. Since launching our POC integration 5 months ago with our first couple brokerage platform partner, Monark has processed $12 million dollars in transaction volume, generated $500,000 in revenue - and we’re just getting started.
Despite their significance, alternative investments remain underutilized by individual investors. On average, only about 1% of retail investor dollars are allocated to alternatives, while institutions allocate 20% or more. Monark allows individual investors to buy and sell shares of alternative assets with the same look and feel as investing in public stocks. We’re committed to democratizing access to alternative investments by bringing down investment minimums, helping our brokerage platform partners create a fully embedded, in-app investment experience, and ultimately changing the way that people invest.
Monark’s product is ready for integration via REST API integration, allowing brokerage platforms to begin offering their users a fully embedded marketplace of investment-ready alternative assets, all within a matter of weeks. We are in production with two platforms, have completed integrations with a handful more, and have a deep pipeline of platforms looking to integrate. Monark’s APIs handle the entire lifecycle of facilitating a private investment, including providing market data, facilitating money movement, embedded document signature flows, and more - completely abstracting away the complex workflows associated with investing in alts and packaging them into a single concise, easy to use set of APIs.
