Social Media Intern
Overview:
The Social Media Intern helps bring the AppleSox season to life online. This role creates engaging digital content, shares real-time updates, and ensures consistent branding across all platforms. This position will play a key part in growing the team’s digital presence and connecting fans to the excitement of AppleSox baseball.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Manage and grow our social media presence across key platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube.
- Create, schedule, and post engaging content that aligns with our brand and objectives.
- Post real-time content during home games, including the starting lineup, player of the game, and highlight stories for each game.
- Create engaging short-form video content that showcases behind-the-scenes and player moments.
- Create content for promotional events and community outreach initiatives.
- Contribute to the AppleSox Social Media content calendar.
- Collaborate with the content team to produce multimedia content that resonates with our fans and sponsors.
What You’ll Need:
- Proficiency in Canva, Capcut, and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Applicants should be studying/ have coursework in a subject in a relevant field. This may include, but is not limited to, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, and Communications.
- Creative thinker with an understanding of social media trends and audience engagement.
- Reliable and organized with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of baseball.
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the season.
