Product Marketing Intern
Product Marketing (Entrepreneurship) Intern (remote, unpaid, flexible hours) Spring semester 2026 or Fall 2026
We are seeking internship opportunities that coincide with academic credit hours and offer a range from one to three credit hour options tailored to best meet your requirements.
Interns will acquire practical entrepreneurial experience and training through close collaboration with high-ranking executives. The intern meets regularly and directly with the CEO or Vice President of Operations face-to-face through Zoom.
Responsibilities include assessing risks associated with launching innovative virtual reality software. The ideal candidate demonstrates enthusiasm for virtual reality technology, maintains a constructive presence on social media, possesses an open-minded attitude, displays strong interpersonal skills, and values philanthropic engagement, particularly with respect to individuals with disabilities.
This opportunity provides valuable exposure to leveraging advanced innovation within the early phases of a start-up anticipating national and international reach. Furthermore, Excel For You, LLC ensures interns receive guidance in effective engagement, timely feedback, and ongoing mentorship.
Interns are expected to apply their academic background and develop transferable skills applicable to both established organizations launching new brands and potential future entrepreneurial ventures. The tasks may be modified within reason to align with your school’s expectations, if necessary. Interns exercise their discretion and expertise in determining appropriate methodologies when undertaking the following tasks:
Marketing Performance Measurement and Customer Insights (#1)
Excel For You, LLC will provide the proven methodology for honest responses, which usually takes about 1 – 2 minutes each. The intern will learn how to employ non-invasive techniques for face-to-face opinions. Using academic methodologies and employer provided training, interns will analyze and summarize predictive buyer behaviors. No sales activities are involved, as the product launch is anticipated for 2027.

National Outreach and Communication (#2)
Interns are expected to propose strategies for nationwide outreach using cost-effective micro- or macro-level approaches. Excel For You, LLC will provide intern training and instruction as needed.

Elective – (#3)
The intern may suggest an elective to replace any one of the next four to show case their best skill sets. It should be tied to your formal education, benefit us both but primarily you and increase the branding of Dance Pro. Excel For You, LLC will provide additional training you need that is similar but does not replicate any provided by your educational environment.
As a point of reference, feel free to replace any one of the following (#4, #5, or #6 below) with this one per our approval.

Digital Media, Social Influence Building, Collaboration, Customer Loyalty, and Philanthropy (#4)
The intern will use digital skills to improve family-friendly hip hop dance videos provided by Excel For You, LLC and network using digital media. The intern will a create 10 (8 – 10 second) clips from each dance to produce enhanced videos. The intern may develop their own video clips for Excel For You, LLC for approval as an alternative.
Excel For You, LLC is promoting the VIRAL DANCE slated annually during the month of April to coincide with National Autism Awareness Month. The intern learns the value of goodwill through an organization's genuine interest in helping others. The intern will use the video clips and their networking skills to assist in advance for this viral event.

Product Development (#5)
Collaborate with the CEO on alternative options for the product, such as reaching out to several dance studios for exploration of possible inclusion as a separate choreography category within hip-hop dance competitions to promote brand awareness. Exploratory dialogue only, not selling.

Social Networking, Customer Acquisition Strategies, and Team Building (#6)
Contact high school FBLA, DECA, or business instructors at no fewer than 5 high schools to assess interest in a friendly competition related to the aforementioned marketing strategies and to learn about entrepreneurship. The competition will take place during the Fall 2026 term, with non-monetary certificates awarded to winners. The intern may substitute their elective for this one is they so choose.

FLEX
Thirty (30) unassigned hours are designated as flex. If a project takes more time than expected, the intern applies the 30 of the flex hours as needed. If assignments collective take less time, the intern will perform more of #1 until the time is absorbed.
The intern uploads updates weekly. An experienced, high-ranking manager will provide instructions and give timely feedback. In addition, the intern meets with the CEO or the Vice-President of Operations regularly by ZOOM.
Excel For You, LLC, a Jefferson City, MO-based virtual reality software developer, has developed a prototype of one of its 45 dances for the forthcoming game, Dance Pro.
This virtual reality dynamic goes beyond 3D, using innovative virtual reality programming. It is slated to be the 2nd in the world, the 1st in the United States for using authentic dancers in a 3D environment.
The inception of this initiative was to empower the game creator, an individual with a disability, toward greater independence.
Internship Description:
This position is philanthropy based - an unpaid, remote internship without expectation of compensation or guaranteed employment upon completion. In return, the employer is engaging the intern at a higher level than most internships, such as access and training by the highest-ranking members of the organization. This opportunity provides valuable exposure to leveraging advanced innovation within the early phases of a start-up anticipating national and international reach.

- there is no expectation of compensation, and
- the internship provides training similar to their educational environment, and
- the relationship of the internship is to intern’s formal education program, including academic credit, and
- they understand the duration of the internship, and it is limited to the period during which the intern receives beneficial learning, and
- the intern’s work complements rather than displaces the work of paid employees, and
- at any time during the internship, the intern shall resign if any of the conditions above are not met and provide a written statement stating so.
Membership in a school organization and social networking are desirable.
Excel For You, LLC, a virtual reality software developer, is located in Jefferson City, Missouri. We are a start-up; Dance Pro is our premier product, pre-beta.
If successful, you will help determine whether we launch. The creator is on the autism spectrum disorder, is challenged with verbal communication but is gifted in virtual reality programming that goes beyond 3D. We offer greater diversity and cultures in our dance product than our leading competitor.
