College Intern - Business Customer Center

SRP is looking for a motivated college intern to join the Business Customer Center (BCC), a group dedicated to serving commercial and industrial customers. The intern will support SRP staff with tasks related to maintaining customer records, information management, and data cleanup. This role offers an excellent opportunity for students interested in building a career in customer service or account management, while enhancing their professional skills at one of the nation’s largest public power and water utilities.

What It Takes To Succeed

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
•    Experience and/or interest in developing skills related to customer service, work management, business operations, data entry and organization.
•    Ability to work within a defined set of processes and procedures.
•    Well organized with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy.
•    Strong oral and written communication skills, including understanding of good documentation practices.
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Experience

To be eligible for SRP's year-round Intern Program, students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 college credits in the Fall and Spring Semesters.  Student interns are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, but up to 40 hours are available if school schedule can accommodate.  Work week is Monday - Friday during support hours of 7am-5pm. Must be able to work 2 days per week at our Corporate Headquarters in Tempe.

Education

College level coursework (100+) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
