We are recruiting for an Aviation Claims Adjuster in our Woodland Hills, CA office. You will have the opportunity to use your aviation knowledge on a daily basis! Further duties & responsibilities are listed below.
- Adjust claims and conduct negotiations on behalf of the Company within a specified range of authority.
- Remain informed of all assigned claims through periodic review and diary control
- Maintain current knowledge of technical and legal developments
- Evaluate reported subrogation potential on claims assigned for handling and make recommendations to the Claims Manager concerning pursuit of subrogated recoveries
- Assist in the underwriting and production efforts undertaken in coordination with underwriting managers
- Manage claims and perform the administrative, recordkeeping and appraisal functions required by the Company
Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation or a related field, or equivalent, strongly desirable
- FAA pilot certificate or FAA A&P mechanic certificate strongly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Office computer applications
- Aptitude for learning proprietary computer systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- 35% domestic and international travel required
- Technical aviation industry experience as a pilot, mechanic or in another technical role highly desirable
Pay Range
Anticipated Pay Range For This Role Is:
$50,000 - $90,000
This pay range represents the base annual full-time salary for this position. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to relevant experience, education, geography and skill set. All full-time positions are eligible to participate in Global’s profit-sharing plan program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
