The R365 Internship Experience 

As an R365 intern, you’ll spend 12 weeks embedded in a fast-growing SaaS environment where innovation drives impact. You’ll work closely with technical mentors across Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Architecture to contribute directly to meaningful R&D initiatives. 

Your internship concludes with a final presentation to R&D leadership showcasing your end-to-end AI project, key learnings, and contributions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build an AI-driven application or internal agentic workflow from the ground up, using a fully AI-assisted software development lifecycle (ideation → requirements → design → implementation → testing → deployment). 
  • Prototype innovative AI productivity tools or AI-powered engineering workflows that demonstrate transformative efficiency for internal teams. 
  • Conduct research on advanced AI techniques, frameworks, and agents, applying findings to real R365 engineering challenges. 
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and DevOps Engineers to align your project with R&D goals and platform strategy. 
  • Implement scalable, high-quality software within the R365 engineering environment using our core technologies. 
  • Present findings, technical artifacts, and results to R&D leadership, showcasing the impact and feasibility of AI-assisted engineering. 

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, AI/Machine Learning (preferred), or related field. 
  • Foundational understanding of computer science principles, distributed systems, and modern software engineering. 
  • Solid AI skills, including familiarity with LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, prompting, model evaluation, AI-assisted development, or workflow automation. 
  • Knowledge of one or more backend languages: C#, Java, or Python. 
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React (preferred but not required depending on project direction). 
  • Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or cloud data platforms like Snowflake. 
  • Understanding of cloud and DevOps fundamentals (Azure, Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Experience or interest in AI productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar development accelerators. 
  • Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for learning emerging technologies. 
  • A strong desire to build something new, iterate quickly, and validate ideas through experimentation.
