Boundary Waters Outfitters Summer Staff

Tuscarora Lodge and Canoe Outfitters offers summer outfitter jobs to a crew of 5-8 staff members. From our Gunflint Trail Boundary Waters location, our crew assists Tuscarora guests as they start and end their canoe trips; maintains Tuscarora’s gear, grounds, and facilities; and continues Tuscarora’s tradition of cleanliness, friendliness, and excellent customer service.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Tuscarora crew members participate in all facets of the business: from assisting and transporting guests to their Boundary Waters/Quetico entry points, scrubbing canoes and camping gear, preparing and serving French toast breakfast, cleaning Tuscarora facilities (including six housekeeping cabins), and even preparing lunch for their fellow crew members from time to time. Assignments vary from day to day and we strive to maintain a fun, fast-paced work environment where teamwork is key.

COMPENSATION

The monthly salary starts at $1900, with a potential season-end bonus. We guarantee full-time work. We provide dorm-style housing for crew members with a private bedroom and shared bathroom facilities. During the months of June, July, and August, we feed crew members three meals a day.

PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT

Our season runs from May 10 – October 15. Most of our employees start work in late May or early June and work through mid/late August. We happily work around your school schedule, but ask that you commit to your dates carefully, as we fill our positions based on applicants’ availability. The later you can work in August, the more priority your application will be given.
