Our HIM record Integrity Specialists play an integral role in supporting the daily operations of our Electronic Health Information Management Systems. You would Perform a variety of document auditing functions to ensure timely and accurate completion of records and accessibility to medical records. Analyze and corrects errors in transcription system and in electronic health record to match transcription with patient records. Communicates directly with providers as a result of quality audits performed during the documentation verification process. Communicates with clinical providers and Funeral Homes to coordinate Death Certificate processing.

Position:

HIM Record Integrity Specialist

Shift:

Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm with every third Saturday rotation

Experience:

  • Work experience in Health Information Management in an acute hospital setting is preferred.
  • Experience working in EPIC or other electronic health record management software
  • Microsoft Office applications experience. Basic Excel proficiency required
  • Strong oral and written communication and problem solving skills are required
  • Excellent customer service skills are required
  • Ability to work independently following established guidelines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrates knowledge of medical record content, documentation requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements
  • Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Associate Degree in HIM or Health Information Technology or its equivalent progress toward a baccalaureate degree is strongly preferred
