Location: Metro Detroit, MI (Hybrid / In-Person Preferred)
Commitment: Part-time | Flexible Hours
Duration: Semester-based or 3–6 months

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and creative Media Production Intern to assist with various aspects of podcasting, filming, production, and digital media. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone looking to gain real-world experience in media production, storytelling, and content creation while working closely with a small, creative team in Metro Detroit. This is an unpaid Internship

Responsibilities

Assist with podcast production (setup, recording, breakdown, and basic editing)

Support filming and on-set production for video content and interviews

Help with camera, lighting, audio, and equipment setup

Assist in pre-production tasks (research, scheduling, shot lists, outlines)

Organize and manage media files and production assets

Support post-production efforts (editing assistance, clips, captions, uploads)

Help with behind-the-scenes content and social media media capture

Provide general production support as needed

Qualifications

Interest in media, film, podcasting, journalism, or digital content

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program (preferred but not required)

Basic familiarity with cameras, audio equipment, or editing software (Adobe, Final Cut, etc. is a plus)

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Reliable, organized, and able to take initiative

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative environment

Must be located in or able to commute within Metro Detroit
