Position Title: Senior Analytical Scientist

Location: Suzhou Industrial Park, Jiangsu Province, China

Language: Chinese and English

Job Responsibilities

1. Proactive, positive, and engaged analytical lead who will oversee R&D activities for analytical group to select appropriate methods and techniques and perform phase appropriate analytical method development and validation to support drug product development.
2. A scientific and technical lead who collaborates with internal functional team and external clients to provide analytical technical guidance and trouble-shooting support to project team.
3. Ensures projects are planned and completed using sound technical principles in accordance with agreed upon project timeline.
4. Seek creative approaches to improve the accuracy, reliability, flexibility and productivity of the analytical development activities.
5. Understands new drug product development and facility management requirements in both a development and cGMP manufacturing environment.
6. Effective and influential presentations and writing skills with the ability to tailor messages to prepare update documents and technical reports for clients. Individuals will contribute to discussions with clients and peers on strategic matters.
7. Independently author technical reports, protocols, and CMC sections of the clinical trial applications (IND/IMPD/CTA)
8. Act as mentor for junior analytical scientist both in method development and regulatory compliance and inspire team to explore alternatives, research new methods/techniques, and develop solutions to problems.
9. Supports technology transfer efforts internally and externally and manages departmental operations and laboratory facilities.
10. Leads efforts to build analytical capabilities and improve existing platform as needed by adapting the state-of-the-art technology from the industry.

Job Requirements

1. PhD degree, or outstanding Master's degree holder. 
2. Familiar with CMC and regulatory requirements, proficient in analytical method development and validation (e.g., HPLC, UPLC stability testing, GC, dissolution, and moisture determination).
3. Excellent learning, comprehension and logical thinking abilities, with high enthusiasm for formulation R&D, and commitment to pursuing it as a long-term career path.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong sense of teamwork.
5. Excellent communication skills, including verbal expression (such as meeting speeches, presentations, etc.) and informal and formal writing abilities (such as project updates, reports, etc.)
6. Proficient in oral English communication, capable of skillfully searching for English literature and writing reports.
7. Be realistic, meticulous, thorough, striving for excellence, and be optimistic and resilient.
8. Strong time management and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
