Internship Term: February 1 – June 30 (the length of the internship is flexible)
Compensation: $21.30 / hour
Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week
Location: In person (SilverKite Community Arts space and program sites)

About SilverKite Community Arts

SilverKite Community Arts is a community-based arts organization that designs and facilitates intergenerational school programs, community arts initiatives, and creative aging programming. Through partnerships with schools, community organizations, and senior living communities, SilverKite creates meaningful arts experiences that foster connection, creativity, and lifelong learning across generations.

Internship Overview

The Arts Administration Intern will provide in-person administrative and program support for intergenerational school programs, community programs, creative aging initiatives, and programming at SilverKite’s community arts space

This paid internship offers hands-on experience in arts administration, program coordination, and community engagement while working closely with organizational leadership and teaching artists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person administrative and logistical support for intergenerational school programs, community programs, and creative aging initiatives
  • Assist with scheduling, coordination, and communication with schools, community partners, teaching artists, and program participants
  • Support on-site programming and events at SilverKite’s community arts space, including setup, materials preparation, documentation, and follow-up
  • Assist with participant tracking, data entry, and organization of program materials
  • Support communications, including drafting emails, maintaining contact lists, and assisting with newsletters or social media
  • Assist with documentation and reporting for programs and projects
  • Conduct light research related to intergenerational learning, creative aging, and community arts
  • Support day-to-day operations and special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student, recent graduate, or emerging professional interested in arts administration, arts education, community engagement, or related fields
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in an in-person, fast-paced, program-based environment
  • Interest in intergenerational engagement, creative aging, and community arts
  • Basic proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Suite (Word, PPT, Excel)
