Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass seeks interns who have an active
interest in the visual arts and/or art history. Our internships provide
valuable, hands-on experience working behind-the-scenes at an
American Alliance of Museums accredited institution.
Education & Special Events Intern
Intern Duties
o Special Event prep including Art After Dark and GLASS Festival
o Prep materials for educational programming (ie. cut glass, load kilns etc.)
o Curatorial work (ie. data entry, photography, condition reporting and cataloguing of
works of new gifts to the collection
o Developing and implementing art projects for special events (art activity day, camps,
art after dark )
o Leading groups on tours and glass art projects
o Processing of the library collection, including photographing, cataloguing, and adding
books to the study gallery collection from storage
Compensation:
This internship is part of the Lawrence-Funded internship program. The student selected for this internship will receive a $5k stipend to help cover housing and transportation costs and living expenses.
