Internship Overview
Grin Grant Inc. is seeking a Marketing & Social Media Intern to support digital communications across our nonprofit programs and legislative education efforts. This internship provides hands-on, applied experience suitable for university internship credit, with opportunities to contribute to real campaigns that advance public health and social change.
Essential Skills
Demonstrated creativity and originality in social media content development
Strong ability to conceptualize and pitch fresh, engaging ideas for sharing mission-driven stories
Advanced understanding of social media platforms, trends, and audience engagement strategies
Ability to translate complex, sensitive, or policy-related topics into compelling, accessible content
Strong visual and storytelling instincts, including short-form video, graphics, and campaign themes
Excellent written communication skills with attention to tone, clarity, and brand voice
Strategic thinking around content planning, timing, and audience growth
Ability to work independently, manage multiple creative projects, and meet deadlines
Openness to feedback and collaboration in a fast-moving, purpose-driven environment
Responsibilities
Social media content creation and scheduling
Support branding and messaging across multiple nonprofit initiatives
Assist with content related to legislative education and advocacy activities
Draft captions, posts, and short-form campaign materials
Track engagement metrics and assist with reporting
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a recognized Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related academic program
Strong written communication skills
Familiarity with major social media platforms
Interest in nonprofit, public health, recovery, or social impact work
