Under the general supervision of the Prison Industries Administrator, this position is primarily responsible for the smooth operation of all those enterprises under its control. The Prison Industries Manager supervises civil service staff and incarcerated individuals. In those enterprises employing two shifts, the Prison Industries Manager is responsible for both shifts. The Prison Industries Manager assists the Prison Industries Administrator in the overall management of CSP-Solano and acts in his/her behalf during any absence from the institution.

  • Supervisory Experience
  • Budget Experience: Cost accounting, Fiscal management, Budget procedures
  • Experience creating Bill of Materials, routings, time studies and cost analysis reviews
  • Production and inventory management experience
  • Experience working with multiple manufacturing enterprises: planning, facilitating, designing, organizing and implementation of various products and services 
  • Microsoft office, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, manufacturing systems (i.e. ERPLX, SAGE), etc. experience.
  • State Service Experience
  • Experience working with incarcerated individuals
