About the Internship
Valley Health is seeking a creative, motivated Marketing & Communications Intern to join our fast-paced, mission-driven team. This internship provides hands-on experience across digital marketing, brand communication, and community engagement. Interns work directly with our Marketing & Events Director and team to help elevate Valley Health’s brand, expand community
visibility, and support strategic communication initiatives.
This position is ideal for students studying marketing, communications, PR, multimedia journalism, digital media, or graphic design who want to build real-world skills in social media strategy, digital content creation, event marketing, and healthcare communications.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Digital Content
• Create engaging posts, graphics, short-form videos, and infographics for Meta,
TikTok,YouTube and other social media platforms
• Assist with performance tracking and analytics
Graphic Design
• Design marketing materials for print and digital platforms using Adobe Creative Suite
Marketing Campaigns
• Contribute to campaign planning, content development, and strategy for community events, service line promotions, and recruitment initiatives
Videography & Photography
• Capture photos and videos; assist with editing and managing digital assets
Website Management
• Update content, upload blogs and events, and support SEO and user experience enhancements
Public Relations & Events
• Assist with press release drafting, media coordination, and event support for internal and community programs
• Assist with planning various company events and initiatives
Administrative Support
• Help organize marketing materials, track to inventory, and maintain patient education resources
Qualifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Interest or experience in graphic design, photography, videography, or social media
• Familiarity with WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design software is a plus
• Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
• Passion for marketing, public health, or nonprofit communications
